Roma and Atalanta will face off in their first league match of 2024 at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening. The hosts are currently in seventh place in the league standings, while the visitors are sixth. This could be a crucial match in the race for European football, with Atalanta currently occupying the sole Conference League spot. They are on 29 points after the first 18 matches of the season, just two behind fifth-placed Bologna and four behind Fiorentina in fourth. They head into this match on a three-match winning streak and are unbeaten in the last 11, including ten wins and just one draw.
