Riga are in pole position to reach the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League. The Latvian side host the second leg after winning 3-0 away at Ruzomberok from Slovakia. Three goals in seven minutes have put Riga in this commanding position. They will fully expect to complete the job and play Gil Vicente from Portugal in the third qualifing round. Riga are third in the Latvian Virsliga but nine points adrift of leaders Valmeria. They come into this game having won four games in a row. Sunday saw them come from behind to beat Spartaks Jurmala 2-1 at home. Riga beat Derry City in the first qualifying round, winning both legs 2-0. They have won six of their last eight at home, the other two both being losses to the league leaders. Only one of their four home games in the Europa Conference League has been lost.

Ruzomberok certainly have it all to do to get back into this game. They top the Slovakian Superliga with four points from their two games. It could have been six as they led Podbrezova 2-1 at home at the weekend only to concede an 89th minute penalty. They have only won one of their last four games. Only two goals have been scored in that quartet of matches and one of those was from the penalty spot. The Slovakian side beat Kauno Zalgiris 2-0 on aggregate in the first qualifying round. They won the home first leg 2-0 (one of which was an own goal) and drew the away leg 0-0. Back Riga to get the win here and be ahead at half and full time. Keep an eye on the team line-ups though, just in case Riga rest lots of players. If that is the case, go for under 2.5 goals.
