Rennes are coming from a 2-1 away win over Vitesse in the Conference League and will be hoping to continue in the same breath when hosting giants PSG in their Ligue 1 meeting on Sunday. The two sides occupy opposite ends of the league standings, Rennes 13th with nine points and PSG top with 24 points. Rennes have proven to be very plucky opponents against PSG in recent times, and after a slow start to the season, they will hope this game jumpstarts their domestic campaign. The win at Vitesse was Rennes’ second in five matches and they have been impressive in attack, scoring two or more in three of the five but they have just one clean sheet in five matches. In each of their last four matches, they have scored two goals, and this includes their latest one, a 2-0 win over Manchester City. Lionel Messi scored his first goal for PSG in the City win and will hope to open his Ligue 1 account too. Three of PSG’s last five league matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they have 10 straight wins in the league as well as a 15-game unbeaten Ligue 1 run. Away from home, PSG are unbeaten in their last 12 league games.
