An on-form Rennes host Montpellier, who have been blowing hot and cold, in a Ligue 1 clash scheduled for Saturday. Rennes currently sit ninth in the Ligue 1 standings having amassed 25 points while Montpellier are 12th with six points less. For the hosts, sealing another place in Europe remains the target, and their recent results have breathed confidence into this quest. Rennes are on a six-game unbeaten run that has seen them book a place in the French Cup Round of 16. Their good form has also spilled over to the Ligue 1 where they are on a three-game winning streak. The Red and Blacks are coming from an entertaining 2-3 win over a beleaguered Lyon.
