Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance will seek to get back to winning ways when they clash on Sunday in round 14 of the Nigerian Professional League with Remo hosting the Group A match. Bendel are the only team left unbeaten in the league and sit top with 27 points, five above third-placed Remo Stars. Remo Stars have drawn their last two matches, allowing Akwa United to leapfrog them into second place. After a goalless stalemate with Gombe United, they drew 1-1 with Shooting Stars last time out. Remo’s Achilles heel has been their bluntness in front of goal with their tally of 12 the lowest among the teams in the top five. In fact, only three other teams have scored less than them so far in the season in Group A. Remo have struggled against Bendel Insurance and have never won nor scored a goal against them in five matches contested. They lost 3-0 earlier in the season and with Bendel possessing the league’s meanest defence, Remo could witness another shutout here.

Bendel Insurance have conceded just seven goals thus far and this rigidity at the back has been key to ensuring they maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
