Olympique Marseille have had a good season and will target a second placed finish. They can move closer to that with three points in their away match at Stade Reims. The hosts, Reims go into this game with 40 points and are in 13th place while Marseille have 62 points, in second place. Reims are coming from a 2-1 win over the reigning champions, Lille and will hope for another big result. There’s no immediate danger of Reims getting relegated, after hitting 40 points. However, as things stand, they need six more points from the remaining matches to be assured of survival. The win over Lille was Reims’ first in five matches and both teams have scored in four of their last five home matches. In the last two matches between these two sides, three players have been sent off.

Marseille are on a good run ahead of this game. In their last 10 matches they have nine wins, a run that was only interrupted by the 2-1 loss to PSG. Having scored in each of their last 10 matches, there’s a very slim chance Reims will have enough to stop the visitors. Marseille have already surpassed their points tally for last season and though second place isn’t assured, with their current run it is hard to say they won’t get it. It is in defence that they’ll need to improve, having managed just two clean sheets in their last 10 matches. In each of the last two matches they’ve conceded twice and this has also happened in three of their last five Ligue 1 matches. Both teams have scored in the last six of Marseille’s away matches.
