Real Sociedad will be out to consolidate their hold of fourth place in La Liga when they host Getafe in their next La Liga game. The two sides are battling on opposite ends of the league, Sociedad fourth with 48 points and Getafe 14th on 30 points. With just three points separating them from fifth placed Real Betis, Sociedad will be keen not to lose their grip of fourth. Playing at home should place them as the favorites but they are coming from a poor run, which has seen them win just once in the last eight matches. Sociedad are coming from a 2-0 loss to Villarreal, the third time they failed to score in five matches and the second time in five that they conceded two goals in a game. They are unbeaten in four home matches but won only one of them.

Getafe have had a good run in their recent matches and will be looking to extend the same here. In their last four matches, they haven't tasted defeat, winning two of them and they come into this one with two straight clean sheets. Three times in their last four matches, Getafe have scored two or more goals, a run that has placed them three points above the relegation zone. Getafe beat Real Sociedad 2-1 in their last meeting in September, that was their third undefeated game against Sociedad and they will want to extend that run here. That will call for an improvement on their away run, which has no win in the last seven matches. In La Liga, Getafe have one win in the last 10 away matches.
