The La Liga season comes to an end this week and Real Sociedad host Atletico Madrid. The home side will finish sixth in the table with Atletico confirmed to end in fourth place. Sociedad will be playing Europa League football next season and are 13 points behind their opponents. They are having a good finish to the season though with their last two matches both being won. Wins have come against Valancia and Real Betis, both with clean sheets. Their last two home league fixtures have both been won to nil. Before that though, they'd only won one out of eight at home  A low-scoring match may well be on the cards here. The last six Sociedad matches have all had under 2.5 goals scored in them and eight of the last ten on home soil.

Atletico Madrid have already confirmed their place in next season's Champions League. They have 73 points from their 37 league games but are five points behind third-placed Girona. Their last match ended in defeat as they lost 4-1 at home to Osasuna. That was a surprising result after winning their four previous games in La Liga. On the road, Atletico have won seven out of 18 league fixtures but lost eight times. That's compared to 16 home wins and just a couple of defeats. Their last two away games have both been won to nil. Under 2.5 goals have been scored in six of their last nine La Liga matches and we go for that statistic to come up again this weekend.
