Real Salt Lake battle it out against the Colorado Rapids at the Rio Tinto stadium, with the hosts being in third place and the away side in twelfth. With regards to Salt Lake, their confidence was shook the past week with a loss and a draw in their last two games. The Colorado Rapids are finding it tough to recover form at the moment. Their latest loss to Austin left them winless in their last four, with just two wins in their last nine. The manner of the defeat was even worse with the Rapids scoring the first two goals of the game only to lose 3-2 with coach Robin Fraser arguing that the team lacks “concentration and determination” at the moment. Their defence has let them down this season, with just one clean sheet in their last six showcasing their defensive frailties. It does not get much better away from home, where the Colorado outfit are winless in their last twelve, conceding in eleven of them and drawing blanks in five. Consequently, they are the worst away team of their conference, with just two points collected in their eight games on the road and just five goals scored.
