Real Madrid vs Valencia Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga
by Daniel Ngulu | in LaLiga Predictions
Real Madrid remains in the La Liga title chase even though it has been a difficult season so far. They are set to hosts Valencia, who are also having a tough season, with both sides hoping for some stability. Real Madrid have 46 points, in second place while Valencia have 24 points, and are in 12th place. Back to back wins haven’t eased the pressure on Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, with the team still five points behind Atletico Madrid, who have two games in hand. There is also pressure from Barcelona below them, with the Catalans having played a game less. Madrid are coming from a 2-0 win over Granada, in which they had to give a lot, eventually winning with two second half goals from Karim Benzema and Ferland Mendy. Earlier, they labored through a 2-1 win over Huesca with Raphael Varane scoring twice in the second half to seal a comeback. That came right after a loss at home to Levante in which Eder Militao was sent off. It has been a bit of a struggle but in terms of attack, they rarely fail to score – in the last 15 matches, they’ve scored in 14. One of the teams best equipped defensively, Madrid have managed just one clean sheet in the last five matches. They however have nine wins and just one loss in the last 12 La Liga matches. Karim Benzema’s goals have been key for the team; he has three in the last four matches and will once again be relied upon here. At home, Madrid have five wins in the last six league matches and they have scored two or more in the five. They have three clean sheets in the last four home league matches.
Valencia’s poor run sees them post just one win in the last five matches. That came against relegation-battling Elche and the 1-0 win is also their only clean sheet in the last five matches. The team’s tally of 24 points places it 11 points below the final Europa League slot, but only four above the relegation zone. Valencia haven’t scored more than a goal in their last five matches though they have scored in four of the last five matches. In the five matches, they have conceded eight goals. They’re winless in their last three away matches, and have conceded seven goals in the three games. Playing away from home has brought very little joy for Valencia; in their last 22 away matches in the league, they’ve managed just two wins. In their last game, away to Athletic Club, Valencia had to battle from a goal down to see it end 1-1.

Our Real Madrid vs Valencia Prediction
Valencia have been poor this season, and the fact that their only win and clean sheet in the last five matches has come against the 19th placed team says a lot. Playing away to a Madrid side desperate for a win, calls for a lot from the visitors. Madrid have been in good form at home in recent league matches and will surely go for the kill here. A win for the home team is the best pick on this.
