Real Madrid are the reigning champions of Europe again and begin their defence of the Champions League title with a home game against Sporting Lisbon. Madrid are already in good form this season winning all three of their La Liga games and are two points clear at the top and three clear of Barcelona. Ten goals in three games and seven in two home games so it's a tough task for Sporting in this game. Last season Madrid were in awesome form at home in the Champions League winning six out of six and scoring 19 goals without reply. Sporting are also in good form, two points clear at the top of the Portuguese league with four wins out of four. European competition last year saw them knocked out by Eintracht Frankfurt in the last 32 of the Europa League with just one win in four away games.
