La Liga leaders Real Madrid will look to keep their lead intact when they host eighth-placed Real Sociedad. Both the sides are unbeaten coming into this match at Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday with Madrid top with 12 points and the visitors 8th with six points. Madrid have won all four matches in the league campaign so far to have established a two-point lead at the top ahead of this round. The matches have been tight enough though, with the last two wins coming by a single-goal margin. Playing at home could work to their advantage as Madrid have won five of their last six league home matches, with the other ending in a draw.

Sociedad have also been unbeaten in the league so far with three draws and a win. Their 5-3 win over Granada came in the last match before the break while the three matches prior have been stalemates. The visitors have a good recent record against Madrid, frustrating them with one win and three draws across their last six matches with the other two ending as losses. They have been consistent with their scoring as seven goals were scored so far. Going back to last season, Sociedad have won two and drawn one of their away league matches giving them hope of upsetting the leaders.
