It will be a good break from the grueling league assignments and taking on a struggling Leganes side is perhaps what Real manager Santiago Solari would have desired at this point in time, with Leganes well in the relegation fight. Leganes lost their last match, to Espanyol, and have not managed a win in their last four matches while they have won just two of the last 11 away matches. As for Real, it is now two outings without a win since their return from the Club World Cup; their last domestic game ahead of the tournament ended in a slim win over Rayo Vallecano but in real sense Los Blancos have not had a very good season so far and seem badly dented by the departures of the iconic Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane. With just one clean sheet, Real will have a lot of questions to ask themselves in this game. They will however still be favorites going to this game with Leganes at the moment preoccupied with the battle for survival. In the Copa Del Rey, Leganes have also struggled, losing six of the nine away games they have played. Among the three away wins they have registered away from home, Leganes have beaten Real Madrid.
