It's not been a great week for either of these Spanish giants in the Champions League. Now top of the table Barcelona travel to second placed Real Madrid for the second El Clasico of the season. Real Madrid's hopes of Champions League success took a major blow when they lost 2-1 at home to Manchester City. That defeat followed an away loss in La Liga to Levante last weekend. They have now only won one of their last five league and cup games and could probably do without this match this weekend. Real have failed to win any of their last three home games too. Their recent form against Barcelona is poor with no wins in the last six and they haven't even scored against them in the last three.

Barcelona drew 1-1 at Napoli in their midweek Champions League tie. They come into this game with a two-point lead over Real and a win would be a key moment in the title race. Barcelona have only lost one of their last seven games, a 1-0 loss to Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey. They have won their last four league matches scoring 12 goals with Lionel Messi in good form, scoring four against Eibar last weekend. Away league form could be better though with only one win in their last four league fixtures. This game could be coming at just the right time for them though and the tip is for an away win.
