Teams from all over Europe have been battling away in the Champions League since last summer. What do we end up with? Another Madrid derby for a final. Both definitely deserve their places though even if neither managed to win La Liga this season. While Real are best known for their strikers, it's their defence that has helped them get to the final. They have played 12 games to get here and only conceded in two of them(a 4-3 win over Shakhtar Donetsk and 2-0 defeat to Wolfsburg). Not one goal  has been conceded by them in the knock out stages of the Champions League this season. Atletico have a great defence too with eight clean sheets out of 12. Real certainly come into the final with the best form of these two sides. They are unbeaten in their last ten games with nine wins and a 0-0 draw at Manchester City in the first leg of the semi-final. Atletico have lost two of their last three games including a shock loss to relegated Levante in La Liga that ended their title hopes. Atletico managed a win and a draw against Real in La Liga this season so they have no reason to be scared of their neighbours. In fact it might be the other way round as Real haven't recorded a win over Atletico in their last six league games. They did however win that Champions League final two seasons ago. I think this is too close to call unless Real came out and quickly got a good lead. I think a tight game is likely and a bet on under 2.5 goals being scored looks a good one.
