Real Esteli have one foot in the Nicaragua Clausura play-off finals. They won the first leg of this semi-final against Diriangen 1-0 and now take on their opponents in the second leg on home soil. Esteli did well to get that victory after having Richard Rodriguez sent off in the 66th minute. With just a quarter of an hour remaining, they got the only goal of the game and are solid favourites to reach the final. Esteli finished second in the regular season, only ahead of Diriangen on goal difference. That first leg win extended their unbeaten record to five games with only one defeat in the last 11. Their home record is impressive with no losses in the last nine and that was to league winners Managua. Their defensive record on home soil is even better. They have kept six straight home clean sheets and in league and cup games, have let in just one goal at home in 14 games.Just three home goals were conceded in their nine league games in the regular season.

Diriangen drew 0-0 at Real Esteli towards the end of the regular season. They have to get on the scoresheet in this game though to have any chance of progressing to the final. Their home form is superb and it was a shock that they lost the first leg. Away form isn't that great though with only three wins from their nine league matches, with four drawn nd two lost. They only scored six goals in those matches, while conceding seven. None of their last five away games produced a win and more worringly, they didn't score in any of their last three. So, we have a side that doesn't concede many at home up against a side that's struggling to score on their travels. Go for a home win here.
