Reading FC vs Manchester City Prediction & Betting Tips - Women's Super League

Manchester City Women began the new WSL season with a 1-0 home win over local rivals Manchester United. The game was played in front of a record 31,000 crowd at the Etihad with Caroline Weir getting the winner to give City the three points. An easier task awaited them in the Women's Champions League. They beat Lugano 7-1 away with six of the goals coming in the second half and another two for Weir with Pauline Bremer also netting twice. City have won five of their last six games in the WSL. The other game was a 1-0 loss to champions Arsenal, the only league match they lost last season. Games against Reading last season saw City win 4-3 away at Reading last season.

Reading finished fifth in the WSL last season but lost more games than they won. They earned 27 points, 20 less than second-placed Manchester City. Reading have made several signings during the summer. New recruits include Angharad James from Everton, Amalie Eikeland from IL Sandviken and Kristine Bjordal Leine from Roa IL. They started the new season with a 1-0 away win at Liverpool with Fara Williams getting the winner against her former club. They need to improve their home record though, having lost four of their last five home league games. It looks like becoming five out of six, go for City to get the win here.
