Rangers vs St Mirren Prediction & Betting Tips - Scottish Premiership
by Indran | in Scottish Premiership Predictions
Defending champions Rangers are not ready to give up their title anytime soon as they have left off where they stopped last season. They will look to continue their merry ways when they welcome St Mirren to the Ibrox Stadium. They are currently leading the table with 48 points while their opponents are in ninth position with 19 points. Rangers are unbeaten in their last eight matches and have only lost once in their last 17 matches. Their last loss came against Hibernian in the Scottish Cup with their last league loss against Dundee United in August. This is their only loss in the league this season. Rangers have won their last four home matches scoring eleven goals and keeping four clean sheets. They have scored 20 goals in their 10 home matches which is the second highest tally in the league behind Celtic.
St Mirren have now gone 10 matches without a win with four losses and six draws. They dismal run of results has seen them firmly entrench themselves in the relegation zone. They are six points from safety and unless they start picking up points they will be in the relegation playoffs come end of the season. They could not have asked for a more difficult task of taking on the champions in their own backyard and their record at Ibrox is very poor losing on their last nine visits. Their away record does not install any confidence as they have not won in their last four matches, scoring just one goal in their last three.
