Rangers have had a busy and so far successful start to the new season. As was the case last term, Rangers have been in the Europa League trying to qualify for the group stages. They have played five games to date and are still unbeaten. Thursday saw them defeat Midtjlland 4-2 in the first leg of their third qualifying round tie. Rangers led 3-0 in the first half before being pulled back to 3-2. A goal 20 minutes from time gave them a more comfortable lead. Now they return to the Scottish Premiership where they won their first league game last weekend. Rangers won 2-1 at Kilmarnock thanks to a 90th minute goal from Connor Goldson. They come into this game unbeaten in their last ten games. At home, Rangers have no losses in their last 11 matches with nine clean sheets.

Hibs got off to a winning start in the Scottish Premiership when beating St Mirren 1-0 at home. They have also had a busy time with games being played in the Scottish League Cup. Qualification was ensured but they had some nervous times including a penalty shoot-out win at Stirling Albion. They will have been glad of the win over St Mirren (who only survived in this league via a play-off) as last season ended poorly for them. None of their last five league games were won. Away form saw them lose their last two games, including a 1-0 loss at Rangers in May. The tip here is for a home win for Rangers.
