The sides meet on Sunday in the final Old Firm derby of the season a week after Celtic clinched their eighth straight Scottish Premiership title. Celtic have been in tremendous form all year and for much of the 2018/2019 season too. The drama behind the scenes at the club after Brendan Rodgers left to go down south hasn’t really affected the team’s morale or performances. Excluding their matches in the Europa League against Valencia, Celtic haven’t lost a single game in 2019. The host’s domestic home record has been- quite literally- perfect all season, as they have only dropped points once in their most recent home fixture against Aberdeen. The Celtic squad is still vastly superior to Rangers’, and Lennon’s side will also boast the home advantage for this clash- which is a deciding factor in games like these. Celtic have been too good for Rangers recently, winning 4 of their last five meetings. They have put past 12 goals, compared to Rangers 2. Rangers however, have a 100% record in their last five, scoring 12 and letting 1 in. Celtic have had two 0-0 draws, from Hibernian and Livingston. Celtic still lie nine points above second place Rangers. Celtic can afford to wait and be patient in this game, as they don't have to go and win the game. So that will suit them perfectly. Celtic are still a bit in front of Rangers. If they walk away with a draw they will take it but Celtic will want to win this and there is revenge on the cards from the clash from Ibrox. They would be delighted to get an away win, Ibrox always being a hard place to win games.
