Nice will take their quest for Champions League football to Stade de la Meinau where they’ll be facing Strasbourg this Sunday. Hosts Strasbourg need five points to secure their league spot while Nice come here five points below the automatic Champions League qualification spot. Strasbourg have bagged 10 points from their last five matches, pushing their quest for survival to near fruition. Patrick Vieira’s side is now on 36 points and will be targeting three more here. They will be out to recover after a 1-0 loss away to Lille. That defeat broke Strasbourg’s four-match unbeaten run. In that run, the hosts had posted three wins and two clean sheets. At home in the last two matches, Strasbourg posted back-to-back wins, ending a run of three straight defeats. The most recent of those was a 3-1 win over Reims, giving Strasbourg a stepping stone as they target a strong finish to the season.

That win, against Lorient, happens to be Nice’s second in their last 11 matches. They have six losses in those 11 matches. Also, Nice have one win in 10 away Ligue 1 matches, and failed to score in six of the 10 away games.
