QPR vs Everton Prediction & Betting Tips - Carabao Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in Carabao Cup Predictions
Everton suffered a shock loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League and as they shift gears to the League Cup, they’ll be keen to avoid an away loss at QPR. Both sides head to this game seeking returns to winning ways. QPR are winless in their last three matches and head to this with two straight losses. In their last match, the hosts lost 2-1 to Bristol City, their third straight game to see over 2.5 goals scored. In five of their last eight matches, QPR have conceded two or more goals while they have just three clean sheets in their last 10 matches. While QPR have trailed at some point in each of their last three matches, they have scored in 10 straight home matches. They however go to this game having lost in each of their last four games against Everton, and are winless in six meetings.
For the first time this season, Everton failed to score as they went down 3-0 to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday. Going into the game, they missed a number of first team players, especially in attack and indeed they struggled. While James Rodriguez is back in training, he was deemed not ready for the weekend clash but it is expected he will play a part in the midweek game. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison both missed with injuries and in defence, Seamus Coleman and Joe Hart were both out and are expected to miss the midweek game as well. Going to this game, Everton have scored two or more goals in five of the six matches they’ve played and five of six have produced over 2.5 goals. For all the great attacking numbers though, Everton have just one clean sheet in the season and in two of the six matches, they’ve conceded two or more goals.
