QPR vs Bristol City Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
The pressure is on Steve McLaren after his QPR team lost their third straight league game of the season. The 7-1 loss at West Bromwich Albion leaves them rock bottom of the table and they desperately need to get something from their next two league games which see them playing Bristol City and Wigan Athletic at home. A few points from these games will lift spirits but more defeats could signal the end of McLaren's time at the club after joining them last season. Their season began with a 1-0 defeat at Preston North End and that was followed by a 2-1 home defeat by Sheffield United after taking a first-half lead. They did beat League One Peterborough in the Carabao Cup but then came the humiliating loss at the Hawthorns on Saturday, even more disappointing because the game was still 1-1 until Gibbs started the second-half deluge of goals in the 53rd minute. QPR have lost six of their last seven league games and McLaren is in real danger of getting the sack.
Bristol City start the game in 19th place and are yet to get a league win this season. They have just two points from their three league games scoring three and conceding five. Last season saw them challenging for promotion and reaching the Carabao Cup semi-final but they are already out of that competition this season losing to Plymouth Argyle. Their league season began with a 1-1 home draw with Nottingham Forest after taking a fifth minute lead. Another draw followed, this time 2-2 at Bolton Wanderers but they showed some fight after being 2-0 down in the first-half. The most recent game saw them lose at home to top of the table Middlesbrough. This is an easier task and the tip is to go for City on the double chance to either win or draw this match.

Our QPR vs Bristol City Prediction
QPR are in crisis and it's still only August. Three league defeats in a row have followed a poor end to last season and the collapse on Saturday with six goals conceded in the second-half leaves them bottom of the table and manager Steve McLaren in danger of the sack. Bristol City haven't won a league game either but have had two draws so far and a loss to the league leaders. A bet on Bristol City to win or draw looks the one to go for.
