Four matches to go in the Eredivisie and PSV are still in the chase for the league title being four points behind Ajax. PSV have so far managed 71 points in second place and will be hosting Willem II who are 17th with 26 points. PSV recently beat Ajax to win the Dutch Cup and will be looking to upset their archrivals in the league title race. That will take more though and PSV can move closer to that ambition with a win here. One improvement they need is in defence, having failed to keep a clean sheet in the last three matches, but they’ve scored in each of the last four matches. In three of their last four matches, they’ve scored twice. In the league, PSV have four straight home wins and the last two have produced clean sheets.

Willem II got a boost in their quest for survival with a 1-0 win over sixth placed Vitesse in the last game. They are still two points below the safe zone and will be hoping to build on this win when they face PSV. They did register a 2-1 win over PSV in the earlier meeting this season and will feel they can do it again here. That will call for a lot though for a team with just one win in the last nine matches; they’ve lost six of the nine matches. In three of their last five matches, Willem II have failed to score and they’ve conceded two or more goals in three of the last four. They’ve been really poor away from home, failing to win any of the last 13. They have straight losses in 11 away matches.
