PSV B host Ajax B in the Dutch Erste Division. The home side are 10th in the table, two places and a couple of points ahead of their opponent. PSV B had earned only a point from three league games before hosting Utrecht B in the final game before the break for the World Cup. Their poor run looked to be continuing as they went a goal down. However, they rallied well to win that game 2-1. The season resumed on December 12 and PSV's return to form continued with a 3-2 win at the AZ reserve team. PSV B have won four of their eight home league games but lost the other four. Two of the last three have been won, including a 6-0 hammering of Helmond who are in the relegation zone. Four of their last five games in the Erste division have seen both teams get on the scoresheet.
