After two rounds of matches, PSG find themselves in an unfamiliar position, eighth on the log with three points from their opening win and while they have all the time to recover, the loss to Rennes took some hit on them and they will be seeking recovery. The loss ended a three – game winning streak and more concern for PSG will be in the defence, having conceded in nine of their last 11 Ligue 1 matches. They have also picked just four wins in the last 11 matches though they have scored in each of their last 45 league matches. However, with a 20 – match unbeaten run in Ligue at home, PSG have a reason to be confident going to the game. In the 20 matches, they have won 18 and drawn two and have two straight clean sheets going to the match. PSG have scored three or more goals per game in seven of their last 10 home matches in Ligue 1. Toulouse, on their part, are still unbeaten after the opening two rounds of the season and will be out to protect this. However, having failed to beat PSG in any of their last four meetings, this will be a long shot. Toulouse have won just one game in their last nine Ligue 1 matches, and have three wins in 15. They have five clean sheets only in their last 15 league matches and rarely do they score more than a goal in their games. They have scored more than a goal in just two of their last 15 in Ligue 1. It is worse for Toulouse away from home; they have not managed a win in their last nine away league matches, suffering six losses in the run. They have however scored in 12 of the last 15 away league matches and given PSG’s porous defence, we expect Toulouse to want to exploit that aspect, though they have scored in just one of the last five meetings with PSG. In 42 meetings between the two sides, PSG have picked 26 wins and Toulouse just nine.
