Defending champions PSG will take on Strasbourg in gameweek nine of Ligue 1 on Saturday evening. The hosts are currently in third place in the league standings, while the visitors are 11th. PSG have not been their dominant selves so far this season, but they will still have a chance of taking the lead in the league standings this weekend. The Parisians claimed a 3-1 win over Rennes before the international break to extend their unbeaten league run to three matches. While the hosts have only lost once in their eight Ligue 1 matches, they have drawn three of those matches, leaving them two points off Monaco at the top of the standings. In four home games, The Red and Blues have recorded two wins, one draw, and one loss. PSG have got the better of this opponent in recent times, unbeaten in their last ten matches. They are the clear favourites in this one as well. 

Meanwhile, Strasbourg are in desperate need of a win here, though it is hard to expect much when heading to Parc des Princes. The visitors were beaten 2-1 by Nantes in their last league match and lost a friendly during the international break 3-0 to Karlsruhe. That took them to three consecutive losses in all competitions. Over their first eight league matches, the Blue and Whites have taken ten points and are three points clear of the relegation playoff in the early stages. Strasbourg will need to address their away record if they are to break into the top half this season. They have lost three of their first four away league games and failed to score a single goal in any of those defeats. All indicators suggest that the visitors are likely to struggle to take anything from this match.
