Two of the unbeaten teams in Ligue 1 will clash at the restart of action as second-placed PSG host eighth-placed Nice. This match will be played at the Parc des Princes on Friday. PSG went into the break on the back of a two-game winning form. They started the season with a sequence of two straight defeats. Just when everyone was busy writing things off, they defeated Lens 3-1 and Lyon 4-1 to go with eight points and two behind leaders Monaco. The form of Kylian Mbappe is crucial in this record as he scored five goals in his last three league matches. What more, the French forward has even scored during the break in the European qualifying against Ireland, so he would be confident for this league match. The only thing that works against, is the upcoming Champions League match against Dortmund which makes team composition a bit tricky.

Nice went into the international break on the back of their first league win of the season. They defeated Strasbourg 2-0 to make it six points from four games – all three other league matches ended in a draw. Two of those draws saw them drop points after going 1-0 up, a case in point for improvement for the visiting team. Even more so, as Nice are yet to win a competitive game on the road this season. They were beaten 1-0 in the Coupe de France and were pegged back in a 1-1 draw at Lorient. Yet, with confidence high after their start to the season, the visitors could spring a surprise and get at least a point here.
