The top two sides in the French Ligue 1 are set to face off, but this time in the Round of 16 of the French Cup. PSG plays host to Nice with both teams coming off fine runs in their recent matches. PSG’s last match ended in a 4-0 win over Reims for their third clean sheet in five matches. It will give them good confidence that rare scorers, Marco Verratti and Sergio Ramos scored in the game and going into this one, they will hope to continue with their high scoring returns. PSG have not lost a game in their last 11 outings and in their last 14 home matches, they have 13 wins and a draw. They haven’t lost to Nice in their last 13 matches at home and their only meeting this season ended in a 0-0 draw.

Nice are the closest challengers to PSG’s quest to reclaim the Ligue 1 title, and here they will be hoping to stop them from defending the French Cup. Nice have done well in their recent matches, though their run isn’t as good as PSG’s. They have won each of their last six matches and the 2-0 win over Metz in their last game was the fifth time in six matches that they scored two or more goals. Their away run isn’t bad either; they are unbeaten in the last seven on the road, winning six. The only time they failed to win in those seven away matches, it was against PSG, a game that ended 0-0. Nice’s last win away to PSG traces back to the year 2009. In the last nine meetings with PSG, Nice have only managed one win.
