PSG - Newcastle: Form Analysis
This was always going to be a close group and that's how it's working out. Only three points separate the four teams in Champions League Group F. The Parisians have six points from their four games but have already lost twice in the group. They got off to a good start with a 2-0 home win over Borussia Dortmund but then came the stunning 4-1 away loss to Newcastle. Since then, they've beaten Milan at home but then gave away a lead and lost 2-1 in the reverse fixture to only lead MIlan by a point and trail Dortmund by the same figure. The weekend saw the Red-and-Blues beat Monaco 5-2 and are back at the top of Ligue 1. The loss in Milan is their only defeat in their last eighth games since being beaten by Newcastle. Seven of those games ended in victory for PSG with eight goals scored in the last two fixtures. Home form has seen PSG win their last six league and cup fixtures with them scoring at least twice in each of them. Three of their last four home Champions League games have been won and with clean sheets in the last two. Since 2021, PSG have only been beaten in one of their last ten home Champions League fixtures, a defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich in February of this year. Wins have come against some top clubs including Manchester City, Real Madrid and Juventus.
Newcastle United made an impressive start to this Champions League campaign. A draw in Milan was followed by the home victory over PSG but it's all gone wrong since then. The Magpies lost to Borussia Dortmund both home and away to leave them stuck on four points and propping up the table. They'll hope Milan don't beat Dortmund at home on Tuesday. If they did and Newcastle lost this game, their European season would be over. A loss and the Italians not winning would at least give United the chance to finish third and go into the Europa League. Newcastle would much rather get something from this game though and a win would take them above their opponents. United had a good 4-1 win over Chelsea at the weekend but that was at home and only two of their last nine away fixtures have been won. In the Champions League this season, they have one point from two games but are yet to get on the scoresheet. We therefore have in front of us on Tuesday a game featuring a side yet to concede a home Champions League and one yet to score on the road. Will one or both of those stats change during this game?

PSG & Newcastle Squad Analysis
Both clubs have injuries coming into this vital Champions League game. PSG will be without Warren-Zaire-Emery who was injured whhen making his international debut. Also out are Nuno Mendes, Presnel Kimpembe, Marco Asensio, Marquinhos and Danilo Pereira. It's expected that they'll start with the same 11 that comprehensively beat Monaco at home on Friday. United will therefore have to contend with Mbappe, Ramos and Dembele, Mbappe will of course be a handful for the Newcastle United defenders. He's been on target for PSG in the last eight home Champions League games in which PSG have scored a goal.
Newcastle United have a long injury list at present. Callum Wilson, Matt Targett, Sven Botman, Dan Burn, Harvey Barnes, Jacob Murphy, Joe Willcock and Elliot Anderson are all going to miss this trip to Paris. They're also without the suspended Sandro Tonali but are likely to have Lewis Hall and Sean Longstaff back. The absence of Burn and Targett will make life even more difficult for them as the English Premier League side tries to keep PSG out and retain their qualification hopes.
