Monaco haven’t been able to build on their opening win in Ligue 1, and on Match Week 4, they will be up against the champions, PSG. PSG, the hosts in this game, have taken an early lead in the league with seven points, three ahead of Monaco, who are placed 11th. The hosts are coming from a 7-1 thrashing of Lille and in their three league matches so far, they have scored 17 times. In each of their last five matches, PSG have scored four or more goals but they have just two clean sheets in that run. The champions are unbeaten in their last 12 matches in the league but they have just five clean sheets in the last 15 league matches.

Monaco are struggling so far, and this isn’t the type of opponent they’d have wished for at this point in time. The visitors are coming from a 4-1 defeat at home to Lens, in their second straight home match. The first one ended 1-1 with Rennes, and they will hope for better things when they play away from home. In their last five matches, Monaco have one win but are without clean sheets; they are winless in the last three matches but they have scored in each of the last five matches. Twice in the last three matches they have conceded more than a goal and three of their last four matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
