Arguably the pick of the matches in Ligue 1 this weekend will see Paris Saint-Germain taking on Lille on Saturday evening. The hosts currently lead the league standings, while the visitors are fourth. After an underwhelming start to the season, which included just two wins in their first five matches, PSG quickly found their stride and have now begun to pull away from the rest. They have 47 points after 20 matches and lead second-placed Nice by eight points. The Parisians secured their 14th league win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Strasbourg last weekend, which extended their unbeaten run to 15 matches in the top flight, including 12 wins and three draws. The last time they tasted defeat was to Nice back in mid-September. At home, PSG have been excellent of late, unbeaten in their last seven (W6 D1 L0), and they have scored two or more goals in each of those matches. These two played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture back in December, but the hosts are the clear favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, Lille are enjoying another solid season in the top flight and come into this match with 35 points. They trail one point behind Brest in the third and final Champions League qualification spot, while Monaco are level with them in fifth place. The Mastiffs suffered disappointment in midweek as they were knocked out of the Coupe de France 2-1 by Lyon. However, they are unbeaten in their last three league matches, including two wins and a draw. Over their last 14 league games, Lille have only lost once, which was a 2-1 defeat against Strasbourg before the festive break. On the road, though, the visitors have found victories hard to come by, winning just two of their ten away league games this season, while they are winless in their last three. Lille have failed to beat this opponent in their last five attempts (W0 D1 L4) and have been outscored 19-7 in that time.
