Lille are going through a tough period in their title defence and it is not going to get any easier, as they have a trip to the capital to face PSG. Hosts PSG go to this game with 28 points and are top of the Ligue 1 table while Lille have 15 points in 10th place. PSG are coming from a tough game, against Marseille, which ended 0-0, a second game in which they’ve failed to score in the last four. However, returning to play at home holds a massive sway for them; they’ve won each of their matches at home this season – seven in seven. They’ve also scored two or more in each of those seven games and at home, they have eight straight wins in the league. Of the eight league games they’ve played at home, seven have ended in over 2.5 goals.

Lille on the other hand, go to this game with one win in the last five matches and only three in 10. They are already 13 points behind the league leaders and will need massive improvement to be able to fight for the title again. It is clearly not a good season they are having and even going to this game, they’ve failed to score in two of the last three matches. It has been tougher for them away from home; Lille have one win in seven away games and in the last five, they’ve lost four. They have no clean sheet in seven away matches and four of these have produced over 2.5 goals. Ahead of this game, they have two straight wins over PSG.
