PSG - Bayern Munich: Form Analysis
PSG have a lot to prove to their home fans in this game, coming from two straight losses and a shaky period in recent months. After a 2-1 loss to Marseille in the French Cup, they suffered a 3-1 loss to Monaco in Ligue 1 in their latest game. They aren’t on a very confident run, having managed just two wins in the last five matches. Wins over Toulouse and Montpellier will not qualify as perfect preps for this game as the two are in the bottom half of the Ligue 1 standings. PSG have a lot to show their fans at this stage and coming into such a key game without a clean sheet in five matches is also a red flag. There will be serious questions on their defending with their two clean sheets in 11 matches having come against bottom side Angers and non-league side, Pays de Cassel., Both sides have scored in their last five matches. The French giants drew two of their six matches at the group stage and finished second on 14 points after winning the other four.
Bayern Munich will like the idea of taking on PSG in this form. The Germans themselves have recovered from their slow start to 2023 and come here on three straight wins. They have two clean sheets in the three matches and are unbeaten in their last 19 matches. The last time Bayern Munich tasted defeat was in September. They’ve sco0red three or more goals in each of their last three matches. Bayern Munich have won eight of their last 10 away matches. They won all their six group matches in the Champions League, keeping five clean sheets and only conceding two goals.

PSG & Bayern Munich Squad Analysis
Lionel Messi was absent as PSG lost to Monaco in their last game and there are concerns he may also miss the Bayern game with a hamstring injury. This will be a blow considering Kylian Mbappe is also out with a thigh strain. Sergio Ramos managed to make an appearance from the bench against Monaco just like Presnel Kimpembe who may start this game. Marco Verratti and Renato Sanches are however major doubts for this game.
As for Bayern Munich, Joshua Kimmich will be fresh for this game having served suspension in the team’s last game. However, Manuel Neuer, Lucas Hernandez and Sadio Mane remain out with injuries

Our PSG vs Bayern Munich Prediction
Bayern Munich have major injury concerns but even as they travel to France, they will have the feel of favorites, going by the two teams’ recent runs. The Germans are on three straight wins and 19 matches unbeaten while they face a side coming from two straight defeats. This will weigh down heavier on PSG and even as they play at home, they will find Bayern a tough nut. Our prediction for the PSG v Bayern Munich game is an away win.
