Rotherham United will enter the final eight matches of the Championship with relegation to League One looking certain. The bottom placed side will travel to ninth placed Preston North End in their next game. Going into this game, the top six is well within hosts Preston’s reach. They have a game in hand and are only five points behind sixth placed Norwich. Their biggest worry at this point will be how to negotiate this congested top six race. Only four points separate the four teams in seventh to 10th place thus a win here will be a massive boost. Across all competitions this season, Rotherham have played 20 away games, winning none, and failing to score in 11.
