Preston North End vs Millwall Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Preston North End will go in search of their first win of October when they host Millwall in the Championship on Saturday. The two teams arrive for this week’s fixture separated by five points on the standings with Preston third and Millwall 15th. Preston are struggling at the moment and arrive for this fixture having not won in four outings. Ryan Lowe’s men have lost their last three games and have done so by conceding at least three goals in each. The Invincibles were defeated 4-2 by high-flying Ipswich last time out to drop eight points adrift of the top two places. Winning here is therefore imperative as failure to do so could see them drop out of the playoff places.

Millwall are also struggling at the moment but Gary Rowett’s men have fared much better than Preston. The Lions have lost only one of their last five games with a further two ending in victory. Millwall responded to a 3-0 defeat at home to Swansea by earning four points from their next two games before the international break. After a 2-0 success away to Plymouth, Millwall played out a two-all draw with Hull City last time out. This allowed them to move further away from the relegation zone. They are now just three points adrift of the top six after accumulating 15 points thanks to four wins and three draws.
