Preston welcome Ipswich to Deepdale on Saturday and it is fair to say that both of these teams come into this game searching for a win to get their season back on track. The home side have won just three of their last 13 games in the Championship, losing eight of those games in that period and drawing the other two including last weekend's 1-1 draw away to Millwall. PNE fans will point to two solid home wins in their last three games at Deepdale, 2-0 over Bristol City and 2-1 over promotion-chasers Leeds United, but sandwiched in between those results was a very disappointing loss to Sheffield Wednesday. What is interesting for betting fans is that over 71% of Preston's home games have seen over 2.5 goals scored this season, while the same percentage of games has seen both teams score too. 

Ipswich Town's pursuit of table-toppers Leicester City has stumbled in the last few weeks. The Tractor Boys have won just one of their last seven Championship games, a 2-1 win over Sunderland, drawing five of those games and losing heavily 4-0 away to Leeds United. Goals have dried up a little recently, but Ipswich Town matches still see an average of over 3.07 goals per game, the third highest in the division and 61% of their games have seen both teams score, while 57% see over 2.5 goals. Kieran McKenna will be hoping to see a reaction from his team after last weekend's hugely disappointing defeat to non-league Maidstone United in the FA Cup, where a strong Ipswich side lost 2-1 at home to the National League South team. They have beaten Preston comfortably already this season, but this game is at Deepdale and as such, is a lot trickier to predict.
