Preston North End vs Derby County Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Preston North End are 10th in the Championship but still with every chance of making it into the play-offs. They are 10th in the table after Friday's games but suffered a big blow when losing 4-1 at Sheffield Wednesday. All the goals in that match came in the second half with Wednesday only 2-1 up going into the 90th minute before two more late goals for the home side. That defeat was only their third on the road this season but at home they have lost five league games while winning seven and drawing the same number. Preston have only won three of their last nine leaue matches and only two of their last eight at home. Form has to improve quickly if they are to make the play-offs but a win here will take them above their opponents fifth placed Derby County.

The away side had been pushing for automatic promotion but have not had a great 2018 and it doesn't get much worse than their 4-1 home defeat to bottom of the table Sunderland on Friday. Derby have only lost three away league games this season but drawn nine times. They have gone eight league games without a victory but five have ended in draws and four of their last five away matches have ended all square. This wouldn't be the first time that Derby have hit bad form and slipped down the table and out of the play-off places  A bet on this game ending in a draw looks to be the one to go for.
