Portugeuesa bid to get back into winning ways with a home victory over Aragua. They are seventh in the Venezuelan Primera Division, five places ahead of their opponents. The home side had been unbeaten in eight league games before losing 2-1 away at Deportivo La Guaira thans to a 90th minute winner. While they had gone eight league matches without a loss, five of those matches had been drawn, including three that didn't see a goal scored in them. Portuguesa have drawn nine league games this season, the equal highest with fifth placed Carabobo. They are without a loss in their last six home league games but four have been drawn. There hasn't been that many goals scored either with 16 of their last 18 having under 2.5 goals scored in them. Seven home league games this season have only seen ten goals scored. Just in one of their last seven home fixtures have they managed to score more than once.

Aragua are only three points behind their opponents. They have been struggling on their travels this season with only one win on the road and four defeats so far. The away side comes into this game having lost two of their last three La Primera games. One of those losses was a home defeat by Portuguesa with the winning goal coming in the 86th minute. Both teams had a player sent off, so a bet on the sending off market might be an idea here. Aragua have only won two of their last 13 away league games but three of the last five have been drawn. Go for Portuguesa to get the win and complete a quickfire league double over Aragua. A bet on under 2.5 goals also looks a likely winner.
