It's all to play for in this Nations League group as defending champions and group leaders Portugal host France. Just one place is available for a spot in the 2021 Nations League finals and both of these teams are on ten points with two games remainig. Portugal began this group wih a 4-1 home win over Croatia before heading to France and coming away with a goalless draw. They have beaten Sweden 2-0 away and 3-0 at home and drew 0-0 in France. Portugal haven't conceded a goal in their last five matches. That shows their success isn't all down to Ronaldo. Portugal have a stronger squad now than when they won the European title. Players such as Bruno Fernandes, Jota and Bernardo Silva are all doing well in the English Premier League while João Félix already has five league goals for Atletico Madrid this season. Portugal are undefeated in their last eight internationals just one loss in 22 since being knocked out of the 2018 World Cup. Not since March 2018 have they lost a home game. They warmed up for this game with a 7-0 home victory over Andorra, needless to say this is going to be a lot tougher.

France didn't reach the finals of the first Nations League but are still defending world champions. They have had wins over Sweden (1-0) and Croatia (4-2) in this group but had to come from behind to get that win over Croatia. They are unbeaten in 12 games since an away loss to Turkey in a European Championship qualifier. Each of their last five away internationals have been won since that defeat. Their preparations for this game didn't go well though with a shock 2-0 home loss to Finland. Players such as Mbappe and Pogba didn't play but it's hardly a confidence booster. After drawing 0-0 at home, a score draw in Portugal and then victory in their final game at home to Sweden would see them through. Portugal are in top form though and the tip is for a home win.
