Both sides carry lessons from the World Cup and while Portugal still hold the place as European champions they will need to improve on their show at the World Cup and there is also a feel that they should start preparing for the exit of their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo. Croatia, on their part, will be parading most of the players who featured in Russia, especially the talisman, Luka Modric and a bunch of the team’s midfielder who made the side click in Russia. This match is not expected to be as intense as the ones the two sides played in Russia a few months back; in their last seven friendly matches, Croatia have managed four wins, while Portugal have registered three wins in the same run.
