League One Portsmouth come into this FA Cup fourth round tie in good form. They host Barnsley who are battling to avoid relegation from the Championship. Portsmouth won the EFL Trophy last season and lost in the League One play-offs. They made a poor start to the new season though and were down in the bottom six. Form has picked up well though and Portsmouth have only lost two of their last 22 league and cup games. Their last five games have all ended in victory and they are up to seventh in League One, only out of the promotion play-offs on goal difference. A form guide for the last 15 league games has them in second place. Portsmouth are unbeaten in their last 13 home matches and to reach this fourth round, have beaten two non-league sides and Fleetwood Town, all endin 2-1.
Barnsley only have two sides below them in the Championship and are four points from safety. Midweek saw them lose 3-0 at home to Preston North End, their second straight loss without scoring. Only two of their last seven games have been won, one being a third round win at League Two Crewe Alexandra. Away form for Barnsley has seen them two out of 15 matches in all competitions. This won't be an easy game at all for the Championship sidie and the tip here is for a double chance bet on Portsmouth to win or draw this cup tie.
