Porto come into this Champions League game at home to Schalke 04 having won their last eight games in all competitions. They top both the Portuguese league and this group by two points and a home win here will guarantee they win Group D. The Portuguese side are six points clear of third-placed Galatasaray and just a point from this game will take them into the knock-out stages. However, a defeat here and victory for Galatasaray at Lokomotiv Moscow would make for  tense final group game in Turkey next month. Porto are in top form though and have won both of their home games in this group and their last seven in all competitions.

Schalke 04 are second and four points clear of Galatasaray. They will be hoping that a win in their final group match at home to Lokomotiv Moscow will be enough to get them into the last sixteen but would love to get the job done here. Their two away games so far have seem them win 1-0 in Russia and come back from Turkey with a goalless draw. They are unbeaten in their last five Champions League matches and their last four on their travels. That run looks like ending here though and Porto can get the win.
