Portuguese giants FC Porto will host their Italian counterparts Juventus in one of the top matches as the UEFA Champions League returns for the knockout stages. Both sides will be looking to get back to winning ways after slumps in recent matches. Porto are unbeaten in seven matches but winless in the last four. While they have just one loss in their last 25 matches, a lack of confidence lately shows a defeat is just on the way. The team has really struggled lately. In their last game, they had to stage a second half comeback to draw 2-2 at home with Boavista. In the earlier two games, they conceded in the final minute, denying them wins and had three players sent off in the process. A positive for Porto ahead of this game though, is that they have failed to score in just two of their last 25 matches. They will also be defending a 14-match unbeaten run at home and have scored two or more in four of their last five home matches. Going to this game, Porto have met Juventus four times before and won none.

Juventus’ struggles in the season continued with a 1-0 away loss at Napoli over the weekend. As a result, they dropped to fourth in the Serie A standings, and will be hoping for better times in Portugal. For the first time this season, and in a very long time, Juventus have gone without a goal in two straight matches. This is not to mean their attacking threat is no longer there; they only failed to score against strong Napoli and Internazionale sides. Porto is another good side they set out to face and having netted two or more in seven of their last 10 matches, the Italians will be confident of stopping the goalless run. The Italian giants have two losses in their last five away matches but against Porto, they have three straight wins. In the Champions League, they also have three straight away wins, with the latest a 3-0 win over Barcelona at Nou Camp.
