The Portuguese Primeira League makes its return on Wednesday June 3. Portimonense are 17th in the table and will be looking for three points when hosting ninth placed Gil Vicente. The home side are in major relegation trouble and six points from safety. It's been a miserable season for Portimonense with just two league wins in 24 games. Just 16 goals have been scored by them, the worst scoring record in the Primeira League. Home form has seen one of those wins but fans have only seen them score eight goals. Only 12 conceded though in 11 games and only four sides have conceded less.  They have only lost one of their last six home games but five have been drawn. Useful points but they need to get some wins if wanting to avoid relegation and only two goals have been scored in those six fixtures.. 15 of their 24 league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them and 8 out of 11 at home.

Gil Vicente are ninth but haven't got a great deal to play for. They are 12 points away from the final Europa League qualifying position but 14 above the relegation zone. They will be glad to be playing again after so long on the sidelines.  Gil Vicente have won seven of their 24 league games with nine drawn and eight lost. Away form isn't that great though with only three victories and six defeats. Just the ten away league goals scored and 16 conceded in 12 games but the last two have both been won. A bet on under 2.5 goals is the tip for this game.
