Poland continued their march towards Euro 2020 in midweek, as they claimed a 3-0 victory over Latvia to stay out in front in Group G. However, it was all change behind them, with Austria and North Macedonia the big climbers. The pair are up to second and third respectively, with the visitors heading here dreaming of the Euros. Poland are old hands when it comes to qualifying campaigns, so it’s hardly a surprise that they have won five from their first seven games. They have a five-point lead over third which will be extended with a victory this week, putting the Poles on the verge of the finals. North Macedonia are bidding to make the Euros for the first time ever, having never finished higher than fourth in a qualifying pool. Their last five finishes to qualifying campaigns reads; 6th, 5th, 5th, 6th and 5th. Now they’re just two points off the top two in this group, which leaves the second automatic qualifying spot up in the air.

Macedonia already have the guarantee of a playoff spot to fall back on, having won their Nations League group last Autumn. That came thanks to five wins in six, which has really kicked them on across the world stage. They have eight wins from their last 13 matches, including back to back victories ahead of this clash. While Poland are obviously the heavy favourites, North Macedonia are no pushovers. The visitors have scored in eight of their last nine matches as they prepare for this encounter. They’ll be looking to hurt Poland, while we can see them causing problems in this clash.
