Poland vs Colombia Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in World Cup Predictions
Calamitous defending from Poland allowed Senegal get goals either side of the half time break while for Colombia it was a case of poor goal tending; these are definitely the areas both coaches will want to address and a few changes in personnel may be seen, especially for Colombia. Defeat to Japan left Colombia winless in their last three matches while Poland saw their three match unbeaten run stopped by their loss to Senegal. Poland will however pride in the fact that they have scored in each of their last four matches but will be wary of the fact that in their last two World Cup appearances, they have lost back to back opening games and went on to crash out at the first round. Poland will really want to work on their defence, as in the last 10 matches, they have managed just three clean sheets; the last five have produced just one clean sheet, that coming against a very weak opposition – Lithuania. The Poles have five wins in 10 matches and have scored in seven of the 10. In their last five matches, Poland have managed two wins, two losses and a draw, scoring 10 goals and conceding seven. In their last 10 World Cup matches, Poland have picked just three wins and seven losses. Colombia, on their part, are on three winless matches, having lost and drawn two in their last three outings. In the previous five matches, they have scored eight and conceded four. They have managed just two wins in the last 10 matches and in the process kept four clean sheets, scoring in seven. In the last 10 World Cup matches, Colombia have won six. This will be the first World Cup meeting between the two sides, but the second in history. In a 2006 friendly match, Colombia beat Poland 2 – 1.

Our Poland vs Colombia Prediction
Both nations have shown frailty in defence in their opening matches, but there is no denying the quality in attack borne by both sides. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for Poland while his Bayern Munich team mate James Rodriguez looks set to start along with Radamel Falcao upfront. With the personnel in attack, there is an assurance of goals in this game, of course putting in mind their defensive performances in the opening games. Colombia have managed four clean sheets in the last 10 matches while Poland have three; Poland have a goal difference on three in the last five matches, having scored 10 and Colombia four, having scored eight but there is a strong feel that Colombia’s experience at the World Cup will work for them; they have won six of the last 10 World Cup matches as compared to Poland’s seven losses in the last 10. A win for Colombia, both sides to score and over 2.5 goals seem good bets here.
