Poland vs Albania Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Albania kick-start their Euro 2024 qualification campaign with a trip to Poland, probably at the wrong time as the hosts are smarting from a heavy loss. This Group E fixture will be played at the National Stadium Warsaw on Monday. Poland were beaten 3-1 by Czech Republic in their first match of the campaign after conceding two goals within three minutes. Only a late 87th minute consolation from Damian Szymański reduced the losing deficit. This is not the ideal start for new manager Fernando Santos as the team collapsed to its third straight loss going back to their two defeats to end the World Cup campaign. They can at least take heart from the fact that it was just their first loss after four straight wins in the Euro qualifiers. They haven’t lost a home Euro qualifier since September 2006 and are unbeaten in 16 games hence – winning 13 and drawing three.

Albania will be worried about that record as well as their own record of losing five of their six away matches against Poland, drawing the other. They won their last match played last November but their record in Euro qualifiers leaves a lot to be desired. Albania have won just one of their last four matches in this competition with their only win during this sequence coming against lowly Moldova. The record is even poorer on the road with three losses in their last four away Euro qualifiers although the win against Moldova came on the road.
