Plymouth vs Leeds Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Second placed Leeds United travel to Plymouth (who are 15th) looking to boost their promotion chances. They start the weekend in the second and final automatic promotion spot, two points clear of Southampton but from a game more. Southampton play at West Brom the night before this game so a win for the Saints will take them above Leeds. United have won their last seven league fixtures and not conceded in the last four. Last weekend saw them beat Rotherham United 3-0 at home. On their travels, the Whites have won eight away games in the Championship this season but lost six. They are in good form at present though with the last three all won and by an aggregate score of 8-0. The reverse fixture with Plymouth saw them win 2-1 at Elland Road last November.

That was in the Championship but these two sides also met in the recent FA Cup fourth round. The game at Leeds was drawn but Argyle lost the home replay 4-1 after extra time. Plymouth are 11 points behind the final promotion play-off position and eight above the relegation zone. Current league form has seen only one point earned from their last two games. They lost 3-1 at Sunderland and then drew 2-2 at home with Coventry City. The Pilgrims led twice in that game but conceded a 96th minute equalizer. Eight home league games have been won by Plymouth this season with four draws and three losses. They are unbeaten in their last nine home league games but conceded 11 goals in the last five.
