CSKA Sofia and FC Sirens meet at the Bulgarian Army Stadium this Thursday for the first qualifying round of the Europa League. Every qualifying round of the competition will only have one leg in this season's tournament. CSKA reached this round of the UEL by finishing second in the top tier of Bulgarian football. They last won the top division in 2008. Maltese club Sirens FC are a fast-rising side who marked their first season in the Maltese Premier League with a fourth-placed finish. That Maltese league season was terminated early due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It means that this is the first European match in Sirens' history. While CSKA haven't exactly thrived on the continent in recent seasons, they do have the experience to ensure a comfortable win.
